[Dragonfly.net Community] Introducing a new member

Hello,

My name is Colin Adams, and I live in Preston, Lancashire, England,
where I record dragonflies, take photos of them (usually in flight -
they don't have the good manners to stay posed all the time), and read
everything about them that I can (when I have time - I am a software
engineer by profession, so i can't do it full time).

My wife is Chinese. She likes dragonflies too (though nothing like to
the same obsessive degree). When we were on our honeymoon nearly three
years ago, on the very first full day, a Golden Ringed Dragonfly
(Cordulegaster Boltonii) settled on her leg. She was so thrilled that
I have no problems insisting that all holidays are spent in dragonfly
locations :-)

In December we went to Thailand (she wanted to sample the food, and I
wanted to be anywhere where I could see dragonflies) for a fortnight.

This month we went to China - partly so that she could be with her
family in Beijing for the spring festival (she is still there right
now), and partly so we could spend a few days in Hainan to see more
dragonflies.

I have posted accounts of the dragonfly side of the holiday in
Thailand (along with many pictures), and am currently doing so for
Hainan too, on my blog at http://colina.demon.co.uk/?q=blog/4 . I
would love to see comments on my identifications, or lack of them, as
I have never seen dragonflies outside of England before.
