Michael Samways has a brilliant new dragonfly book out for South Africa.

Warwick & Michelle Tarboton's A fieldguide to the Damselflies of South
Africa is also available. Unfortunately their Dragonflies book is not
available.

Also available directly from the author. (I just got my copy direct.)

I can highly recommend both guides. Both are detailed and well illustrated.

Hi there

I have had a look at the website African Dragonfly and tried the link to
books (obviously looking for literature on dragonflys), specifically with
reference to South African dragonflys. Great was my disappointment not to
find any references.

I was wondering if you could maybe suggest a good fieldguide.
